Color of the year - 2009 – Mimosa

Every year one color dominates the home décor The 2009 Color of the Year - Mimosaand furnishing world, as well as fashion runways. Annually, Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color, selects a Color of the Year, as the chosen color to dominate design for the following year.

This year that color is Pantone® 14-0848 Mimosa,
a warm, engaging yellow which embodies hopefulness and reassurance in a climate of change.”  According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®, “The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance. Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation.”

To be on trend this year, bright yellow is the chosen color to accessorize both our fashion and our homes.
